soft top cleaner

hi my soft top is red but it looked almost pink with dirt and grim i saw next door cleaning his vw soft top which the seagulls had pooped on the cleaner worked a treat so off to halfords paid £16.99 for the cleaner, wow what a great job it did there is enough to do the stag top at least 2 times, if your top looks sad give it a try

I've heard the 'Renovo range' works well too, bit pricey but worth it!

Hiya, does the conditioner properly waterproof your hood ? Almost any detergent will damage the waterproofing and leave you with leaks at the seams, that's why I stick with Renovo re-proofer - too chicken to try anything else.Martin.

Hi all

I have used a Jaguar soft top care kit (see picture) with good results

As I am now unemployed I am willing to sell the kits I brought for stock from the Jaguar staff shop when I was working there if anyone wishes £10 per kit plus £7 P&P

Looking at the tin and bottle, I would be prepared to bet that these are by Renovo. SAAB sell the same ones. Sorry to hear of your unemployment. Good luck with selling the kits. That is extremely cheap for what they are. If I hadn't already got a Renovo kit (from SAAB) I would take you up on the offer.

Hi Roger, That kit looks good value. I fitted a new mohair hood from RB last year, do you know if new hoods need reproofing straight away or only after they look like they need it?

Also a friend has a soft top which islooking old, which has some gray patches on what should be a black top. Does your stuff re-blacken or it is just a water proofer as the name suggests? Do you recommend any black dye stuff for roofs? I have heard of boot poilish being used but I'm not sure how that would turn out.
