    Nice 'Cheap' Stag!

Just seen this on E bay looks really nice if you want a Stag as an everyday car!

Could be made into a really nice Stag with not a lot of effort if the write up and pictures are to be believed!!

what's too much, you can't buy the feeling of pride I have in owning my car, maybe we did all pay a bit much but if you divide that figure by the next 20 years then it's peanuts, besides there is no point in saving anymore with interest so low. - thats how I justify it.

Cheer up Steve, anyone who has bought any car in the last couple of years will have lost shed-loads of money based on current market prices - but I bet Stag and classics owners in generalhave lost less than most!

Plus - it's only an issue if you need to sell.

I paid too much for mine in monetary terms, but the amount of pleasure that I have had from it cannot be measured in pounds and pence

Absolutely right - If anybody bought their car as a short term investment they might be upset, but as a hobby/interest who cares (within limits)- mind you, it would be nice to have the weather to drive the flaming thing.

At least its all Triumph bearing in mind the time of year and the financial climate it stll reliased quite a good price.

Thank you all for being so kind about my Stag!

The time has come to move on so I'm afraid Stanley the Stag has now gone to his new home.

Thanks to everyone who has given valuable advice over the last couple of years.

No, definitely not giving up on classic cars!

I'll be sticking with Triumph, most probably a 2000/2500 or 2.5pi.

We had some good times in the Stag, I was very sorry to see it go.
