I was heading over to TSSC HQ this morning as they had a Saturday shop opening, was proceeding at a fair old pace and all was well with the temp guage sat at its usual position. We decided to stop off at McDonalds for breakfast and when I turned the ignition off I saw lots of steam coming out from the engine bay. Opened the bonnet, lots of steam from the V but no obvious source, hoses were all replaced in Dec & have all been retightened, inlet manifold gasket & water pump all replaced at the same time so I'm somewhat hacked off. The car is now at Ward's, hopefully this will see a final cure to this car's leaks as it's frustrating driving with one eye on the temp guage.
I had to wait 2hrs for recovery & my wife came over to pick us up, ended up spending about £20 in McDonalds just to depress me even further.
