what gear box have you got as it looks like an auto but you were changing gear like a manual :shock:Comment

It's a ZF 4 speed auto, but has a valve block problem with shift timing (as yet unresolved by Mr Tate) so if I don't manually shift 1-2 at high throttle openings my diff gets a spanking from a violent shift.
It sort of becomes a habit after a while so I do it in all gears if I'm pushing along a bit, and it sounds just like a manual........

I often have to dispose of large quantities of garage/house/garden waste and the only car I have with a towbar for my trailer is the Stag. Always provokes interest, even from the Polaks that now seem to make up the majority of the staff at the recycling facility.

Dave - funnilly enough I have just fitted a towbar to my Stag, for precisely the same reason! Can't wait to see the reaction of the staff when I turn up with trailer and rubbish in tow!
........ and its an excuse to use the Stag!
