    Black Museum

Thought I'd start a black museum thread.

Whilst swapping my disks noticed lots of grunching while turning the Strut to get at bolts on the back of the spider. Investigation revealled a worn top mounting. Funny I didnt notice a problem before, but driving the car out of the garage toturn itround to do the disk on the other side (narrow garage) and the top mount was clonking. Having the car jacked for a couple of days and the front suspensionunloaded and hangingmust of finished it off.

I changed the whole strut assembly when they where on special offer many years ago, although I haven't done a vast mileage on them. The rest of the strut was still in excellent condition, even the gaitersare still good.

Here's another UJ. Isn't it satisfying taking something to bits and actually finding something wrong ! Martin.
