    Flush Or Not To Flush?

Going to do the first oil change on the Stag. Ive never used an engine flush (eg Wynns) before. Do people advise them or not?

Hi Russell there has been a lot of discussion on using a flushing oil in the stag engine general opinion seems to be a BIG NO. Main reason seems to be realasing gum and gunge that has accumulated over the years and possible blocking up oil ways. Best thing to do is give car a good run get her up to temperature [20 miles at least] and then do the oil change and allow plenty of time to let the oil drain. Peter

I've used Wynns on the two oil changes that I have done on my Stag so far with no ill effects.

      Regards

              Agree with Peter.

Been advised not to fush, best to change oil and filter every 3000 miles. Do mine like this and have had no problems and great oil pressure.

                  Russell

If you are new to the car I would certainly suggest you flush the cooling system, then repeat flush regularly.
