what paint to use

Hi

I have just brought a complete front end suspension with cross member, steering rack, springsetc.

I am currently taking it apart with the intension of refurbishing where required putting poly bushes, Bearings etcand painting.

I was going to use "smoothrite" to finish it off but thought I would just check if any one has any better suggestions

Hi Roger

I used POR15 Black Rust Preventative Paint on my front suspension partsand currently doing the back end with it.

Good stuff but a bit on the expensive side, 2 118ml cans will do all your bits.

the POR15 has its own solvent advertised on the Holden site

will a cellulose or terps thinners be OK or have I to get the POR15 solvent to clean the brush

probably cheaper than buying the thinners!

Get your brushes from wilko or pound land etc they will be good enough for painting suspension parts
