Hi all,
I have owned 4 Stags in 20years andI have finally got a stag that moves of it's own accord ...... and what a thrill.
Is the thing about Stags the fact that your never really sure your going to get to where you want to go?
However just noticed that in reverse, with full lock on, it sounds as if the rear wheels are spinning or skidding but they're actually not. Could this be a clutch problem? If so what?
I also would like to know howcan you tellwhat type of timing chains are fitted. Mine make no noise on start up, BUT the previous owner thinks they were last replaced 8 years ago and I am worried they may be German and will break suddenlyrather than make an audiblewarning noise.
Who would you buy a QUALITY timing chain kit from?
Lastly, Is it normal for the temperature gauge to just about reach the red before cabin heater air heats and temperature needle drops back to just below middle? - (When it does this it's a real heart in mouth feeling. )
Definitely lastly, how do you flush your rad, in situ or out? and what with?
Regards
Gary
