Following on from Phil's video footage of his Stag in a Tunnel, and Kryten's recycling trip, It's time I had a go at filming some local Tenerife scenery from inside my Stag. Rigged up an old Hi8 camcorder to the dashboard (don't think the Guardia Civil would allow it on the T-Bar), and attached a microphone inside the rear bumper. Stayed fairly local for this 1st attempt (just around Los Cristianos), but did manage two small Tunnels en-route. Will try further afield when I've made some further changes to the set-up. Looking at the resultant footage - haven't got the camcorder completely vertical, and the mike is picking up some unwanted vibration sounds. Also appear to have some reflections on the windscreen, and my brakes started squealing whilst on the run. Original footage was 15mins so have edited down to just over 8 minutes so acceptable to You Tube. Andrew S & Snakey should be able to recognise some of the Landmarks. Have attached a Diagram of the equipment in use & it’s positioning. Currently uploading the footage to You Tube, but judging from past experience this may take a while. When completed will post the Link reference. What is the best (& quickest) format of video to use for uploading - AVI or WMV or MPEG or what? Remember had trouble last time till I swapped formats but can't remember what I did!

I look forward to your constructive comments, and hopefully I will get better at it with experience (filming video that is!!!). The kit I used didn’t cost anything (other than my time) as all the equipment is old and was only gathering dust in a drawer. A better more modern mike in the future might improve the sound somewhat. I started and ended the journey at the Stag’s home (Castle Harbour Car Park). The final scene (with the Stag's electric fan still whirling away) shows it parked up next to my wife’s Honda Accord. The trip was undertaken at 10am this morning (25th March) before the Sun had time to burn away all the Clouds.
