Clutching at straws here, I got made redundant on Thursday, so if anyone has any contacts in the marine industry on the south coast, I'd be grateful to hear of any potential job offers. (Marine engineer 12 yrs experience)

Looks like the Stag won't be on the road this year, hope I don't have to sell it.

PS If anyone's thinking of buying power electronics, think of me and buy Victron.

What are your skills as we sell cutting tools to the marine industry ship, yacht and propulsion so I can get our guy down there to keep and ear out for any jobs going for you.

Thanks for replying Stuart, most recently at Mastervolt, but previous to that 6 yrs at the Yanmar/Mercruiser agents in Southampton. There are going to be layoffs at Sunseeker according to the grapevine, so slim prospects there.

My skills are general marine engine installation,maintenance and repairs,diesel and petrol.Also specialising in electrics and power systems, generators, inverters and Combi's.Yachts, RIBS and cruisers.

I'm hoping to go into technical saleseventually, so if you do hear of anything I can forward on a CV.
