Where did Lewy go??

I was wondering where Lewy disappeared to.

He was starting out on a restoration project a few months ago, with a rover engined stag.

His profile had a website address on it and it leads you to his Stagmad website which incorporates a forum as well:

He made the proposal and i said "yes" to be moderator that is.Not a lot of traffic on it at the moment so i don't have to do anything.

I posted a question on another forum that was split up like Lewys, (Non car related) I couldn't find my post again to see if anyone had answered my question. I like the linear arrangement of this one, it is easier to make sure you have read everything!

Hi all still here , and still been busy finding one rust spot after the other on the stag. I think most who have restored will realise shortly after starting that there was more work involved than expected.

After finding many of bodges along the way when stripping things down, I'm now stripping things right down to a rolling shell.

The dash is the last bit which I have to get out to sort the welding out on the windscreen (I don't want to set the thing on fire ) I was hoping to get it on the road for this summer, but looks like it'll be the end of the summer by the time everything's sorted... that's if I don't find any more unexpected bodges along the way.

As for the stagmad site yes it's a bit quiet but then new websites always are. I never built it to be competition with this forum, just thought it may be useful to new or potential stag owners. The more information I could find the better when I first got my stag (and still now) That's why I joined the SOC.

Will have to grab some more pics of the rolling shell and keep you lot informed on updates.
