    Greetings from new member

Greetings from new member on the Norfolk / Suffolk border.

I'm 40 years of age and have been in love with the Stag since I was 5 years old - my neighbour had a brand new Stag and he used to let me help him clean it (brave man - I'd never let a 5 year old near my motor!).

Anyway, after 35 years of waiting I'm hoping to buy my first Stag this summer - finances courtesy of Norwich Union who are making me redundant after 22 years! I'm very fortunate in that I have secured another joband providing I buy a new kitchen for 'er indoors then it's all systems go for a Stag purchase. Itprobably won't be until August so if you have a nice Mk2 auto coming up for sale later in the summer please get in contact. I'm intending on going to National Day this year - do many members use this as a "selling" opportunity?

Looking forward to "foruming" in the future.

    Hi Stu,

welcome to the forum, if you can see the positives of your current situation, you should fit in well here. Good luck in the search for a car. There are probably some people on here who can help you with that.

              Hi Stu - welcome mate

It's ironic that my Stag was sold to me to finance the previous owner's wife's desire for a new kitchen - seems thay may be inextricably connected.....

Look at many, and buy with care

Welcome to the mad house, as you've got plenty of time make sure you go to your local meeting there will be plenty of people to help and offer advise, this may save you some money at the purchase or later on. Oh and by the way why notget a manual overdrive (I'll get my hard hat now:P).
                Cheers

Hiya Stu, thrice welcome ! The National day isn't usually a sales feast, but there may well be some for sale. The Forum members will be parked together, why not pop over and introduce yourself, we would all be pleased to meet you. Martin.
