I seriously considered silver with a red interior similar to Aston Martin DB5 but bottled out as I was worried it would take away the originality.

Carmine with Tan works for me .

Hi David ( ? ) You never know what you will wind up with if you wander from the fold. There was a guy in our area who had a Stag an a BMW metallic blue, gorgeous colour, but looked bloody awful on a Stag. The 1.8 diesel Stag is silver - nuff said. In Switzerland there is a pearlescent white Stag with a body kit that cost an absolute fortune, it's the most awful thing I've ever seen ! I love the tan interior, wanna swap for the black one in my white car ? he he. Martin.
