Hi i am strugling to fit chrome trim to new wind screen rubber,cannot get hold of tool and have tried making one all to no avail, help anyone,cheers Ken

This trim is best fitted to winscreen rubber out of the car i.e fit glass into rubber then trim and insert as one unit. a friendly auto glass man made mine look easy but only charged me £30 a bargaini think .

If the screen and rubber is already in the car you can feed a nylon rope (about 5mm thick) into the slot that the chrome trim fits into then push the trim in place as you pull the rope out. A couple of bent hangers and some rubber lube help as well.
