Boot Light Switch

Hey folks,

Where is the boot light switch on my MK1 please? I always wondered why there wasnt a bulb in my boot light - now i know!!!

Put a new bulb in this morning, then thought how do i know if its going out or not when i shut / open the boot, so i put my digital camera in there and took a movie - sure enough its staying on, so thats why it didnt have a bulb in there! Ive taken the bulb back out again obviously.

Switch thats at fault im assuming!! Where is it located?

On a Mk2 its by the RH strut that holds the boot lid open - strut should hit switch plunger when lid closed but doesn't always. Re-located this switch some years ago to near the boot catch by drilling a small hole there.
