    Windscreen Rubber

Wheres the best place to buy a windscreen rubber from, notice quite a few on the forum have had their screens refitted lately and wondered if as is usual with Stag parts if there is any difference quality wise depending on where the rubber is bought from.

    G'day Dave,

I bought one from a supplier "quite local to you" while I was in the UK last September, I tried to fit it this weekend and it is about two sizes too big! I'm not a happy bunny, I will be making a phone call on Monday evening my time to hopefully get a return and refund.

I'm interested to find out where you can buy ones that fit.

    regards,

    Raoul

      Hi Dave

I got mine from Paddock but have not fitted it yet so don't know if it is a good fit or not!:?

I have seen quite a lot of forum discontent regarding RB from the Lincoln locality, so I thought I'd add a positive comment. On calling them this evening, they were very helpful regarding my oversize windscreen seal. The guy on the other end of the line gave me a full refund and told me to do what ever I wanted with the wrongly supplied seal as the cost of returning it would outweigh the refund. I'm now a Happier Bunny!

Unfortunately a locally (Brisbane) purchased seal costs 2.5 times more!

          regards,

          Raoul

yes but it might last 2.5 times longer!

I replaced the rubber boots on my driveshafts just before christmas. They are already showing the first signs of decay. :X.

I bought some gaitors for the handbrake levers at the back platesfrom another well-known supplier and they split putting them on! :X

Get them from Ldparts. Much better quality.

                Hi Dave,

Can't remember where I got them off the top of my head, but it would have been from one of the favoured suppliers. I have just replaced the boot on the bottom of the handbrake lever, I hope that lasts as you have to take most of the car apart to install it !!
