My cars been doing this all the time ive owner her, but when i turn the ignition on on my car, not started but just dash lights on, for the first few seconds there is a really loud quite fast clicking noise coming from the rear of the car, like a relay perhaps. It starts off really fast then slows down to a stop.Anyone any idea what this is?

Another noise you might notice is a whirring sound when you turn the key, followed by a roar which gets louder as you press the accelerator. This is normal.
