    Do we know these cars?

The previous owner of my car has very kindly sent me a selection of classic car mags from the eighties, that feature the Stag. Quite a few pictures included and I just thought, do we know who might own these cars now and would they be interested in copies of the articles.

Here’s a list of the registration numbers. A lot of the articles have people’s names associated to them but I don’t think it’s a good idea to put these on a public site as they might still own them. I’ve put their initials in brackets after the reg. (they’ll know who they are if they read this)

    SDA16S (RT)

    RYW888L (D&MS)

    9618KP (MH)

    RRW97H

    OLF686P (JK)

    SAH214R (PT)

    GTG920K (RT)

    BTE700L

    MCL909P

    David,

I have an RRW reg plate and I think 97H might be the first production stag, especially if it is a white one?

      Yup. RRW 97H is LD1.

Curiously, I have managed to get hold of some original sales brochures. The first one shows RRW 97H and in the second one they have recycled the photos, but changed the reg No. to RRW 97L and the interior from red to beige!

Good to know that car ringing was alive and well in 1970

*RW and *VC were Coventry reg numbers, so were put on works cars.

Hi Rob You're correct it is Sports Car Monthly January 1987 and your car features in the article "The Midlands Mercedes" It mentions the name Mike Hinton in the text

Thought I'd do a DVLA check

Every car I listedexcept RYW888L is still on the road or at least being taxed

Hi - I know this thread is from quite a while ago - and you may not even be intersted anymore, but RYW 888L is actually my wife's car. It was sorned for quite a number of years from the early 2000's then totally rebuilt and is now back on the road looking brilliant.

                  Enjoy!
