Hi Bruce,
Can't help you with a mechanic recomendation but thought it would be useful to get more info on the problem.
1. Was the car running OK and now won't start?
2. Does it turn over?
3. When was the last time it ran?
4. Is it an Auto or manual?
I might be barking up the wrong tree if so the ignore me:?, but some faults can be quite easyto fix

About A year ago I dont seem to be getting a spark at the spark plugs, I have 6volts at the coil, petrol seems to be getting to pistons
The original problem was it would cut out after about 5 miles
