    Hi Ken

Don't know to much about the BW35 but the obvious thing it has got the correct amount of oil in it?

      hi

I had a screechy/grumbly/growly dog of a BW35 autobox - obviously your first point of call is fluid level. Does it screech in Park, Neutral and all the gears?

I found that by disconnecting the kick down cable from the carbs it went quiet (normal pressure in gearbox) - as soon as I tugged the end of the kick down cable (increasing pressure in gearbox) the noise came back - my car drove and I managed to get it to an autobox specialist who said "front pump's fecked mate" within 5 seconds of looking at the car and then estimated IRO £800 for full rebuild + TQ + fitting else the warranty would be voided. Man O/D from Martin Dimmock was the way forwards for me.

      Good luck
