What's this bit for???

Hi All,

You know when you take something apart, and then put it back together again, there is always something left over!!

Well, I have this in the box and cannot for the life of me remember what it is for or where it goes!

Does anyone recognise it, and point me in the right direction for where to put it:

Looks the shape thats on the upper mounting bracket but dont know if its seperate or all one piece. If your car's all back together then i guess its just another spare for the box

Thats what it looks like to me. I have a new one here since mine got lost and it looks quite different, but then I know there are differences in this plate depending on whether you have a manual or auto and probably also on whether you have O/D and which type.
