Having a few hours over the weekend, set about the car with the angle grinder. You may remember I started this as an MOT failure with a small hole in ther front sill, after lots of advise from you guys Ive decided to let some new metal in on the inner sill, however after finding a few patches on the floor pans at the front though might as well go the whole hog and put in a new floor as well(front section). At the moment its all going fairly well, few tricky moments with the grinder ,sparks and the interior but apart from that I can now see through the rot to some good metal.

TRStag,
This is my favourite type of thread - I know it's grief for you but the work you're undertaking, along with the images, is so informative for the rest of us that have never done this level of repair.
Hope all goes well - and keep posting those images! This forum really has some invaluable information in it!!
Good Luck

I will keep posting ,as I know it has been difficult to find images of the bodywork structure and to familiarise myself with the panels. However one unlikely source which was discovered by accident is a book called "How to restore Classic Car Bodywork" by Martin Thaddeus.
I appreciate you might think wellthe book isabout bodywork, but the key is the examples inside, The books in the most part is based on the STAG and common repairs such as sills, door, etc a fantastic resource. I have enclosed some images.
Thanks Roger, Im in Cotton End so not far away from Clophill, is the paint shop opposite the woods?
