What did you do today?

As it was such a nice day I’m sure most people must have gone out today.



We went to the Triumph Sports Six ClubSouth of England Meet at Leatherhead which had a good turn out. I think there about 10 stags in attendance.

I tried to convince the wife that it would be a good idea to sell her Citreon C4 and get a GT6 of which there were some lovely examples.

After this we went for a drive up Box hill and then had lunch at the The Sportsman which is a lovely pub in a place called Mogador which I can highly recommend.

I had a loverly day,spent five hours trying to get my diff out!I have now got to replace the two middle sections of the exhaust and may aswell replace rear bushes so now my diff is going to cost me double what I originally thought hopefully have it all back to next week

Not a lot - was supposed to go to the SEM at Leatherhead, however had an operation last week on one of my hands that precludes me from driving for at least another week. - still, did watch Button 'buttonup' another win in Spain

Well - if you must know - spent the day mopping and rescueing my Stag spares and other goodies!.

We had a major burst in our Complex during the night on the 8th floor which flooded the 8th & 7th floors and my 'Trastero' (Store Room) where I store all my tools and Stag parts including the Hardtop + a load of other things is on the 7th floor.

Took me till 3pm to empty everything out, mop up, then put everything back again. Not a lot of damage done and I found some Stag spares I'd forgotten about, but decided to bin some others (e.g. Original Starter Motor & Original Inlet Manifold), both of which were changed some time ago.

As the Sun was shining and it was a glorious day and my Stag having passed its MOT only a few days ago, I would have much preferred to have been out exploring Tenerife. What a change from last Sunday when 641 great Classic cars were here in Los Cristianos to beat the Spanish (Guinness) record for no. of assembled Classics.

Tenerife doesn't get much water, and when it does rain it is usually inside from a burst pipe!!

Had a real hoot at Prescott - Stoutgoose became notorious with the track photographer who I believe was in fear of his life when he got it "a bit out of shape" on the semicircle.

No damage to the car, slight denting of Steve's reputation and the snapper was already wearing brown trousers - so that's OK then......

Sorry to the guys who I didn't get to say goodbye to - I was experimenting on finding a way past the queue of cars waiting to run by cutting across the grass - traction was not good, so kept it moving and before I knew it was at the venue exit gate!

Fab day - here's to next year!!

Wow £7 tent i brought one a while back for £40 and thought that was cheap but it survived a few Rock festivals..at least the sun came out for today are you coming to Ragley hall on the 24th.

Would have loved to have gone to Prescott, but I had to go to Coventry to shop for spares for my Sunbeam, and buy some Stag hood frames from a nice bloke called Warren (hello Warren, good to meet you finally). He has a lot of Stags as he collects them! All in all a very fruitful day, and not a bad drive on the M40.

I now have a healthy stock of Stag hood frames for spares, repairs and refurbed units. PM me if you want a nice one or any parts. Will keep me busy for months.

It was my youngest daughters b'day today, so we went out on the customary cruise around the village, trouble is SWMBO wanted to come too!:shock:
