Cam cover bolt rubber seals

Hi, I fitted a new cam cover today but had a problem with some of the bolt rubber seals, they keep popping over the bolts. Any suggestions please.

Hi Sukh,

There should be a cup washer that fits on the screw, before the rubber washer goes on (147738) it sounds like you don't have these?

:XDave next time you see me give me a kick up the rear end, I forgot to put them on, they are lying on the window sill at my brothers garage, I was wondering where these came from when the last time I looked at them..

Been at the Stag eight hours solid today, spraying, painting,put conduit over wiring,flushed radiator engine block, tightened up inlet manifold( nearly all bolts loose), finally washed and applied Turtle Wax Ice, really good polish.

Sounds like you have had a busy day!

I went for a 7 mile walk! Unfortunatley I took the wrong car - I haven't touched my Stag all weekend. I was driving back from the walk and saw convertables everywhere! Grrr.
