:dude:hi guys, help!! my indicators stopped working.. i have checked the 3 to 4 fuse in the fuse box. thats ok, my fuel needle has also stopped, it shares the same fuse. seeing that both have gone down , its got to be a wire that feeds them both. but where to check . thanks paul

Does your temp gauge work?

No need to warm engine. Pull off wire on temperature sender and make it connect on engine block. The temperature gauge should go to maximum. This will prove if the gauge is working ( unless there is a break in the wire ).

Do as Don suggested........what was going on in my mind is the temp sender and the fuel gauge are both feed by the voltage stabilizer, but I don't see that, that has any connection with the flashers...............going back to checking the fuses did you take the fuse out and clean the contacts, are any of the contacts loose were the rivet goes in? I had a problem with the engine cutting out and although the ignition fuse was ok and making a proper connection because the rivet was loose the current going through was not makinga proper connection on the switched side of the fuse at the back of the fuse box.
I take it you've checked the flasher unit?

Be very suspicious of the glass fuse itself - they are prone to internal electrical failure whilst looking perfectly intact.....
Also the contacts that touch on the fuse are prone to crud that affects the connection - a quick clean of the terminal blades is often all that's needed.

:dude:Hi guys, As promise a update, I DONE IT!!!!. As told i check the flasher unit, i got a live feed to the unit, but as it was not working , i took a chance and bought a new one, i could not see that it could just be the flasher unit as the temperature gauge was not working as well. but it must be inline together somehow, because thats working as well.i wrote a note in my car book in case it happens again in the future. thank for the info . paul
