Leather Seat Prices

Hi All

I got a quote today to have some leather seat covers made and fitted (foams to be supplied seperate) by a local person.

They will make the covers any colour front and rear seat £800.

Do you think this is a good price as Aldridge quote £1088 just for the covers never mind fitting!

I asked if I could have Black with Orange piping which was said not to be a problem

Note person works for a car company manufacturing leather seats everyday quality second to none.

that seems a good price for all theseats, i know some places want a fortune for leather. Black with orange piping
even better if they are tailored made.

they live at Nuneaton which is not too far away.

Are the Leather Seats with the Original Basket Weave pattern?

No they will be plain leather not basket weave.

I've just had mine done by Stuart Epps nr Nantwich in Cheshire.

Cost to make cover in leather, cover seat and trim T-bar was £1100. I thought this was reasonable as cover alone cost this from Aldridge.

I supplied the seat foams and diaphrams. Stuart supplied the leather, skill and labour. My brief to him was to make a seat as close as possible to the original Satg seat, but in leather.

For the T-bar I use the new Aldridge foam kit and cover.

I am yery pleased with the results on both the seat and the T-bar.


Heres a picture of the front seats. The centre panel is basket weave close to original look.
