Stag specialists

Has anyone else had trouble in getting E.J.Wards to service their car? I had my car pre booked in with them for the heads to be removed and sorted + a few other minor jobs. After now having had it for a month they havn't even started yet! The car was collected on 14th April and I was under the impression that it should take about 2 weeks for the work to be done, but every time I phone I'm told they hope to start it any day.

Is anyone else having or had the same problem? I'm starting to get a bit concerned now as this is the first time I have used them and was under the impression that they were well thought of.

Hi Tim,

I took my car to Wards for a service back in February and again for some more work in April and have had no problems at all. Everything was done as I asked and carried out to a very high standard. What Mick doesn't know about Stags you could write on the back of a very small postage stamp

Hi Tim

I have used Mick at EJ Wards for over 4 years for any major jobs and whilst I would agree they can take a bit long at times they do a great job and I would always recommend them.
They are also incredibly helpful if you ever need advice.

I heard that BIG J only booked his in for an MOT... he got it back 2 years later...

Seriously though, they are very knowlegeable, but the reducing number of Stag specialists means that they always seem to have a lot on.

I've not usually had delays as long as yours - maybe the odd day or two.

Continue to give them a nudge and make sure you are happy with the quality of the work and everything you had booked it in for has been done,when you pick it up.

Thanks guys, It'sreassuring to hear that your happy with the work done but it seems to be getting them to start that's the problem.

I called again yesterday and was told Mick is going to call me on Monday once he has had a good look at it. We shall see!

I know that they are probably very busy but I just wish they could be more honestabout their lead times, because it makes me feel that I'm kept being put to the back of thequeue. AnywayI shall keep you posted.

I second what Chris said, check and double check that everythng is done as you ask and to your satisfaction before taking the car.

Glad I did not take my car there to have the splash panel done otherwise I would have not been able to attend the excellent Prescott:shock:
