The most common type of "automatic" brake bleeder in the good o'US is the Mityvac:

I've done brakes on maybe 40-50 cars this year with one.. ranging from Stags, Spitfires, a Rover P6 (nightmare that was), right up to the current Land Rovers. Provided the output pipe stays clear (they tend to go cloudy if you leave 'em in fluid too long!) they do a superb job in no time.
Unless the hose pops off and sprays fluid all over your freshly swept garage floor.
