I would say get your wheels balanced first and then see what it is like. Normally if it happens at around 50/60 mph and you are able to drive through it then it is wheel balancing.

        I concur, it's usually wheel / tyre balance at 50 - 60 mph.

        Regards, John.

          Hi Doug

I agree it will be wheel balance but before you take it to be check jack it up and check for play in the wheel bearings

                Hi Doug

Glad to hear the diagnosis was correct.

Top tip: Wobble through the steering wheel - front wheel(s) need balancing. Wobble feeling through the seat - rear wheel(s) need balancing.

Red alert though -If you have a very strong rhythmic wobble through the steering wheel at very low speed then STOP and get out to check the front tyres.

I wrote a front tyre off by running it while totally flat. Oops.

Another top tip - a little bit of wheel imbalance not normally felt will be amplified many times by any play in the lower balljoint to a real "wheel shaker" - judging by the quality of many of the "new" parts being supplied nowadays, the lower balljoints don't have a very long life.....
