    unsettling experience

After over 5 years ofrefusing to drive the stag, Mrs B took to the wheel tonight and quite liked it apart from the size.

She is very surpised how it has been improved to drive over the years - she clearly hasnt checked the bills in the folder . Wierd sitting in the passenger seat, with the wipers coming on at every corner :P:P

      Graham please explain?

from a dim and distant memory from my Marina Coupe TC were the wipers and traficators on the wrong side!!

I have forgotten as the Stag in Aus is correct (for Aus) wipers left stalk indicators Right stalk) for the life of me i cant remember what the Marina was:shock:
      must be old age!!

All modern cars here now have the indicators on the left hand side.

SoI need two bumper stickers " If my wipers are on I am turning left"and "If my right indicator is flashing its raining"

The manual to auto and back again is not to bad once mastered (just remember to keep foot on brake at traffic lights):shock:

I drive one of two manual vans at work with vastly different clutch characteristics, plus my auto Volvo and Stag. That, along with the wipers / indicators I often look like an incompetent old fool for the first few miles. (Although my son might question both the 'few' and the driving!)

Very easy to rotate switches on steering column 180 degrees. Only downside is the symbols are upside down.

I've also been known to 'flash' my wipers to oncoming Stag owners etc...!?!:?:?

                      (A common problem I'm sure...??)

I think changing the switches round would confuse me even more! Especially as it's not unknown to turn the lights when intending to turn the engine off!

I have yet to mistakenly get out of the passenger door, though!

I tend to agree.I decided to leave things as they are the last time this topic came up. Its all part of lifes rich tappestryI suppose.

Still feel a pratt each time I make the mistake though

We have an equal relationship as well Jason - I drive there and she drives back. Sharing is caring and all that
