Anyone else done this and if so were did you route the cables. Thinking this is a better idea than keep removing the power steering pump to change it in future.

Hi everyone, brand-new owner and member, posting this here and at end of link given in last post. It illustrates the rear window being unzipped before folding and stowing the hood. Not seen this mentioned anywhere, (and apologies if it has been), but what is the general consensus? Seems like it will prevent nasty kinks and creases. Any drawbacks? Thanks in advance!

One drawback is more ware on the zip.The other option is lay a towel rolled into a logshape in the crease.

Thanks for the reply, makes a lot of sense. Thinking on, how about it being a good idea unzippedfor a long-term fold-up, (as when hardtop fitted), and left zipped-up during English summer up-down-up-down-up scenario, both of which would address the zip-wear and creasing issues?
