You guys never advised me about this Stag problem !.

I have in the past trawled through many past posts, never seen any advice about this problem with a Stag.

I use the Stag every day to and from work. Have had the roof down enjoying the sunshine, a bit cold at 6:00am but getting used to it. On the way home yesterday doing about 69mph ( ish ) on A38 dual carriageway out of Plymouth I was thinking why dosome use screen behind seats as it was more than acceptable when a jacket I had on the rear seat decided it wanted to do an impression of a kite !. After its impression of a kite it decided it wanted to go on holiday to Cornwall so attached itself to a lorry with a Cornwall address. Fortunately it was only a cheap jacket with nothing in the pockets. So if anyone finds a jacket enjoying its holiday in Cornwall could you please say hello from me.

Why are there no warnings about this problem ?.

    Don Kennedy.

P.S. Yes I know it was "bleeding obvious" about leaving things on the rear seat with the top down. No need to worry about me as I am having counselling later today to help me get over my loss.

        Hi Don,

Sorry to have to admit that brought a smile when I read that this morning. Not laughing at your loss, but the way you have decsribed it.

As for no warnings, no doubt some daft colonial (apologies tedlit and Glen if reading this) would attempt to sue the manufacturers over this if they could. Well, if they can successfully sue the manufacturers of a RV for not warning that setting the cruise control doesn't mean the driver can go to the kitchen and make a cup of tea...:?

          Hi Dave,

I was considering looking to see whoI could sue. Triumph no longer in existence so no good looking there.

Maybe I could sue the members of this message board ?.

I am always willing to compromise, if eachyou send me £5:00 I could be persuaded.

I will see howthe counselling helps me.

I've always found that it saves hoovering out the car - just bat down the motorway at 90 for a few miles and all the crap is sucked out

If I put my wife in the back how fast do you think I need to go to get a new one?

Assuming jacket weighed about 2 lbs and went skywards at 70 mph all you need to do is to go faster than 4400 mph. This of course assumes that the lift to weight to speed ratio is constant. I am sure someone could calculate if the ratio is different.

You could use Bernoulli'slift equationfor this problem.

I just asked my wife what her lift coefficient was and am now going to spend my weekend nursing a black eye!

                          regards,
                          Raoul

Did a wedding a few years ago, I thought I had hoovered out all the confetti - till I hit 80 odd, then got surrounded by a cloud of the bloody stuff. Martin.
