    Majorca

    Hi All

Just got a back from a weeks holiday in the north part of Majorca. It was nice to get away from the smell of paint I was suprised by the almost total lack of old cars on the road:?. The oldest I saw was a Sierra Cosworth:?. We did discover a private car collection on display at a hotel in Cala De San Vincente but theonly Triumph in there was a red TR3A. Does anybody know if there are any Stags on the island?

There are some superb driving roads on the island amongst the mountains.

    50 kms from Polensa toSoller

12 kmsPort dePolensa to Cap de Formentor

Makes you think whether a drive in the Stag from the UK down through France, Spain and across on the ferry to Majorca would make a good holiday? I think an operational Kenlowe fan would be a MUST though:shock:

Bloody hell John, you are a hard task master:shock::PI was laquering the bodyshell until 4pm of the evening before we flew out (5am). I only stopped work on it when I rubbed against the wet laquer. Doh!:X See my posting at the time.

Hopefully get chance to rub down the affected section of laquer tomorrow afternoon. Hoping to get the shell out of the jig next week so that I can spray the front and rear lower sections. Am purchasing a pile of old pallets from my workplace to sit it on during that process.

          Cheers

Majorca is bigger than Tenerife (I think) and 641 Classic Cars turned up at a recent gathering in Las Americas so Spanish Islanders do seem to like old cars. There are a few Stags across the Canary Islands (2 in Tenerife I know of), and I'll bet there will be at least one somewhere in the Ballearics (have I spelt thar right?).
