Any police forensic guys on here?

I had an unwanted visit by 3 18-19 year olds in my garage yesterday whilst I and SWMBO were at work.:X:X:X

Luckily my neighbour opposite was at home and saw them pull up outside my house, they knocked on the door to see if anyone was in, then reversed their car down the driveway to the garage. Meanwhile one of them had gone round the back of the garage, opened a window and climbed in.

They were hoping to find a garage full of chainsaws etc, but I don't keep anything there, only my Stag!!

Meanwhile my neighbour was on the phone to the police telling them how many ther were, what they looked like and what type of car they were driving - Police caught the *******s down the road with the only tree surgery item in my garage - a climbing harness. Bottle of whiskey heading his way

I was at work in Ealing when the Police called me and told me, and was paranoid that they had scratched/damaged the Stag!

As it happend they didn't but the police have put silver finger print stuff all over theside of the car - it has a greasy consistency - any ideas how to get it off??

    Rgds.....Al.

OK its a fair cop guv ,I admit it I was trying to nick your hardtop again what with all this bad weather recently. - Alan

PS - Glad the car is untouched, I would have been more than a trifle anxious on that drive home wondering what damage I was going to find.

        Hi Al

I bet you had a sicken feeling in the pit of your stomach when you got that call?

You could try Auto Glym fast Glass which I find really good at getting tar and insects of the paint work.

Now, nowAl - calm down. Thats the trouble with todays modern society. These are just misunderstood kids who have no guidance or control in their lives. Probably from broken homes or in care. Nothing, however, that a f*#£ing good shoeing wouldnt put right.

Just been to ask a copper in the pub. No idea mate! He did say though that they should have told you how to get it off after they'd applied it but to ring the Scene of Crimes Office and they will advise.

Now - go and put those steel toe caps on ...

Not the lot from a certain site in Chobham Al??

I can tell you a tale of what they did to the police helicopter. No amount of polish will sort that out.

                      Hi Tim,

Apparently they came from Hampshire and lived in houses not caravans, as the Police did a search of their homes.

Bit of graffiti on the helicopter was there??

                      Al.

Got beer in the fridge but no whiskey!

I called SWMBO to tell her to go home from work (she only works10 mins away and was nearly finished anyway), and to check the Stag for scratches or damage straight away and let me know.

I would have been a nervous wreck by the time I got home otherwise

                            Al

                            glad the Stags OK

when I had my Capri 3ltr stolen(a good 25 years ago) which was found after the B****ers hadgrass tracked the car and blown the bottom end. The police let me collect the car from the compound with all this silver dust all over the car and what the Ba****d had down inside.

I spentthe weekend giving the car a good soapy washin side andout and then polished theoutside to get rid of any thing that was left

It did come up looking like new but I had a bottom end engine rebuild to do:shock:

I can confirm it's horrible stuff to get off - my '89 Astra got stolen a few years ago and came back covered in the muck and the only thing that would shift it was T-cut. Still, the police got the blokes who stole it - fancy nicking a 1.3 Astra to commit an armed robbery in, hardly the speediest getaway car
