Overdrive switch wiring

Hi All,
On my switch on the gearlever I have a brown and a blue wire.
I can't remember which way round these go, and am hoping someone can tell me.
Also these wires then connect to two more wires under the centre console, again which to which?
I am assuming if they are the wrong way round then on will be off and vice versa. The wiring diagram doesn't help much here.

Hi Al,

Makes no difference. The switch is only a make/break in a circuit, so it is not polarity sensitive. Either way round will do.
