Nice one Steve. Not had mine through a test yet, its up in November but will be nowhere near a road then it will be all tucked up in the garage till Spring so will get it done then. As with any recent unknown quantity purchaseim not expecting it to pass, so i can only be pleasantly surprised lol

Its the right time of year to have an MOT if any work is to be done. Mine is in December and too cold for playing with cars
Well done

I just got a few failed things on a Stag, one of which was the indicators. This fault has been eluding me for a while as every time I have tried to fix it, it suddely starts working again. I suspected it was inside the binnacle as each time I took it off it burst into life again. Waggled all the switch terminals, but they were OK, so I continued to waggle and pull on the wires and suddenly the indicators cut off again. I stripped off some of the black tape, and pulled again and bingo: a (LG/N) wire came out.
Looks like a PO had solder spliced the switch harness onto the old lead, and one of the joins was a dry joint. The joins were so cleverly disguised it was tricky to find.
Anyway, mystery is now solved and we move on. you never know what you will find on old cars.

He let me have a good prod around underneath found a couple of little rust spots and an oilleak from somewhere that will need sorting. The tester was impressed with the condition underneath so well pleased.
