Warning light cluster

My ign warning light on the cluster stays on when I start the engine and am at idle. It only goes offwhen Ipull away and get to about 1500 revs. The amps stay at around 11.5 until the light goes out as I move away and then displays around 14 - 14.6 and stays steady.

Any ideas? I have no concern as battery stays topped up so alternator is obviously charging and I have no other issues.

My new alternator does that, sometimes it needs a kick of revs to start charging. I guess once yours has stated charging it continues to charge at low revs. No paranoia!!

I have had this with some old lucas alternators on other cars in the past they carried on working for years so I assume nothing to worry about
