    inhibitor swith

I think I have trouble with the inhibitor switch on my stag. Sometimes it starts in park and not neutral and sometimes the other way round. Sometimes it will not start in either and I have to keep moving the gearstick between the two to get it started.
My question is I don't have the access panel in the floor pan as mentioned in previous posts, can anyone tell me the position and dimentions of the this panel so I can try to cut one, and is there anything directley underneath likely to get damaged with say a small angle grinder. Hope there is someone out there who can help as I really don't want to have to remove the gear box.

The access panel is actually on the passenger side of the gearbox tunnel,(on the vertical side) just below the parcel shelf. It looks like a twisted piece of metal with 4 screws about 4" square.
You can see the switch from under the car,it's behind the starter motor and a little higher.ish :?

    Cheers

Is this on all stags or is it a after-fit?

If you haven't got one, it must be the only one.
