not white as owned several cars of this colour in the past
not black as too hard to keep clean
not metalic as I do not feel confident spraying metallic paint
not British racing green as it makes it look to much like an MG
not blue as I have recently resprayed our Stag "French Blue"
not red as its too common on GT6s
Based on the above criteria - Gunmetal Grey - looks good on GT6's
Copy of Austin Power's Jaguar E-Type seen at Trentham Gardens Classic Car Show. Not the car used in the films and not a real E-Type either. I think this kit-car replica is called the Wildcat. *****Reposted to Car Mermories and Guesses for a reason. Martin knows why*****
I would paint it whatever colour your wife wants as it is her car
Stuart
Hi Stuart
If it was left to me I would simply spray the replacement bonnet and rear lower valence "Sapphire Blue" like the rest of the car. It would not be a perfect colour match as the rest has faded. Then do a full respray when it gets rebuilt in 2011
However, SWMBO is of the opinion that she does not want to drive a car where the front looks a different shade to the rest:?.
So, a respray is now on the cards so as to keep her sweet whilst I toil away on the Stag. I am of the opinion that if I am going to respray it then it will be in a different colour so the results are obvious. Doesn't need to a full strip down as I will do the engine area at a later date, provided I order enough paint at the start.
As you say, got to keep the missus happy:shock::P
Currently she is heading towards Primrose or Honeysuckle.

Wow what a colour used to have an SRi cav in a similar shade, is it not metallic though?
Now Magenta does look very good especially on a GT6 owned by a SWMO.
The old paint has rubbed down nicely but the more recently applied(last year)aersol paint is a sod to get off as itappearsto be sticky. Glad it is only in a few areas.
