Timing Chains

Hi Guys

Just looking through some parts i bought some time ago,and regards to quality was wondering about the set of chains i got from HRS .They have Rolon stamped on every link .just wondering if any one has had experience of these chains?and are they any good?

Oh, Boy! Steve have you opened a can of worms! Have a look on triumphstag.net and search for this subject. There are more opinions than chain links!

The bottom line is that Tony Hart sells what he fits. I guess if he is happy then they should be OK. I have had Rolon chains and suffered no problems. Ihad a set that had done 50,000 miles on my carand they were fine.

I kept an article I read something a while back about Rolon chains.Seemsthey're made in India, so not exactlyoriginal equipment or the quality German item. To make matters more confusing there are different types of 'Rolon' on the market. Best ones have 'Rolon' stamped on every link, but some of the othersare more randomly marked and probably a poor quality imitation made in some Asian sweat shop and sold in a Rolon box.

I had a german chain snap on me about 15 or so years back. No warning!

I hope theyve improoved since then.
