What a difference a viscous coupling makes

Fitted new coupling on Friday and have given it a run today,it now runs at under the half way on the gauge instead of over the halfway,what a difference,strangely the new one doesn't feel a lot better than the old one,but I took my big hammer to the old one and it was dry inside,could be time for paint soon. Hi Andy, well done sir,that's a comfort, I've never been able to tell whether the bugger's working or not, providing there's no play in the bearing, at leastIknow it's not going to explode, but is it actually doing anything . . . . . ? Martin.
