changing seats

Hello everybody,

Are these the seats, which can be swapped from a Jag XJS to a Stag without alterations, as they were made by the same company? Please advise.

I have tried to find out fromwhat model XJS a local member got his seats, but I can't get a reply from him at the moment. Think he must be on holiday.

I was at a show yesterday and there were 3 XJS Jaguars there. Two of which had seats as per the attached photo. Sorry it isn't too clear - weather wasn't good and both cars were shut up and owners not in sight.

The seat tilt knob and rake adjustment lever were the same as the Stag seats (although rake lever was shorter) so they could be the ones made by the same company as the Stag ones. Both Jaguars were around 1979/1980 vintage, so I am guessing that earlycars are theones to look for.

Finally got s response from our local member. The seats he fitted were the ones in this picture, from a '89 XJS.

If they were he must have removed the mechanism, etc.
