Anyone heard what the weathers going to belike for the National w/end? Going by what its like now it'll be the first time the cars gonna get wet, at least it'll show how waterproofit is:?
Just downloaded this from the Met Office website doesn't look good.
UK Outlook for Sunday 2 Aug 2009 to Tuesday 11 Aug 2009:
Showers and sunny intervals are expected to affect most places on Sunday, with showers becoming persistent and locally heavy in the northwest. It remains wet in the northwest on Monday, as showers give way to more persistent rain, although parts of the southeast may stay dry and bright. The weather stays unsettled for the rest of the week with sunshine, showers and longer spells of rain expected. Rain is likely to be heaviest and most persistent in the northwest whilst the southeast will remain drier and sunnier, although still with a chance of some rain. The pattern of unsettled weather continues through the weekend and into the beginning of the following week. Temperatures will be near normal throughout, but perhaps becoming warm in the southeast at times.

I live in Newcastle-under-Lyme which is about 15 mim run to were the national is being held, I will post the weather outlook nearer the time if that helps.
FYI The Metoffice (www.metoffice.co.uk) have been telling us how they have just taken delivery of a new supercomputer so their forecasts will be much more accurate in future. They said that when they opened their new headquarters with 2 new supercomputers only 6 years ago, but these are now apparently out of date. The new computer can do 3 trillion calculations per second!
The Metoffice isless than1/2 a mile from my house and judging by some of their forecasts of late, they would be better off looking out of the window first

we are going to go by the weather down here, and at this time the hardtop will be staying on as its not looking good this week
Don't let Graham catch you with the hard top on in the summer, he a fettish about that sort of thing:shock:
Ian
If it is any consolation I have attended two shows in recent weeks with the hard top in place. Partly the reason is that it is good to display the cars in all configurations so that Joe Public (all potential new owners) can see the versatility of the Stag, but mainly 'cos the weather was cr*p :X.
I just hope its going to be better weather than today, completely soaked to the bone, poured with rain all day and had to work through it. Just heard themet officehave revised their forecast from being a hot August to being the same as July. Oh B*****ks!
