Hi All

Before you go to buy things like spinon oil filter,alternator belt,PAS Belt or SPark plugs

Go to your local (small) motor factor and check the price against the Stag suppliers.

Example; Alternator belt Stag Specialist on E bay £4.95 Local motor factor £2.50!

Just ahelpful tip for the forum members.

I always use my local factors for stuff like that - the owners now deceased husband was a Stag owner so is always sympathetic to my "cause" and apart from keeping stuff in stock that wouldn't be usual for a factors now, I get a discount.

She always comes out to look at the car when I go there too - must bring back good memories...

When over in the U.K. visiting my son in Chester I always call in Paddocks to pick up any parts I need. However as I'm not going back for a while and needed a new wash/wipe pump I thought I'd give LDParts (Peter Howells) a try as they are offering a more powerful one. The service has been excellent as the 1st pump he sent me I couldn't get to work, so he immediately sent a replacement which is now fitted and working fine. The pump wasn't dear yet can't fault the service. Wanted a new grill badge as well (as someone had nicked mine), and a new door speaker, and Peter pointed me in the right direction for these. Credit where credit's due.

On the A22 in Kenley, Graham - it's called Motos of Kenley, and I've been using them since the late 70s - great place, what they haven't got is no trouble to order in.

One of the guys behind the counter in there was the one responsible for getting the reg number of the Fiesta that wrote off my Accord in the hit and run back in March.......

Rate them very highly
