    Brakes Holding

    Got round to having a look why this was happening today, i assumed it was one of the rear drums that was the culprit cos i only noticed it after i'd refurbed the backend but it is the front discsthatbind for about 2-3 secs after i've released the pedal, bled the discs to see if the pdwa shuttle had moved even tho there was no brake light on, also just in case there was an air lock, took the pads out to look at the pistons andit was very hard to push them back in, even with the bleed nipple open. Have i got problems with the seals?What else should i look at? Any info please

    check the servo,had similar and that was the culprit.also check the flexi hoses they might be starting to collapse inside acting like a one way valve.

      Thanks for that Steve, i was going to leave it till after the national or winter project as i'm going to refurb the front but i have the braided hoses already from the set from doing the rear, so i might put them on

        hi baz,

        had the same on my stag front brakes binding freed of the caliper piston problem remained turned out to be the flexi hoses both had vitually colapsed internally. time to fit those braided ones !!!

            Yep! Your right there, just fitted the braided hoses and no more binding, off out now for a run to celebrate, at least i did'nt have to touch the servo/ m-cylinder:shock:
