No not yet have it on blocks to get it hot but still same results. even spedo cable will not spin so i think it might be more that a quick peek inside. trying to decide another rebuild or zf4 i know what i would like but not so much money around at moment lack of overtime .

Unless some one has a bw35 that is going spare.

      :?

Started to take it apart today managed to get the valve body out and stripped all looking nice and clean and everything moves very smoothly all valves only thing that i have found is a oil pipe that will not seat properly so tomorrow morning im off to the local scrapyard tools in hand and will pull one out of a old stag he has sitting there going to be fun i think i can access the sump pan from inside the car as not much floor left.will let you know how it goes. btw had a quote from transmission company 35 miles away £600 to rebuild !!!!!!!!!!!! must think im stupid or loaded.

Really that sort of money for a BW 35 overhaul!!!! Makes fitting a ZF a no brainer.

I'd rather protect my engine by not revving it's nuts off at 70mph. How does 2600rpm sound to you?

I usually just chug along at 60mph!

have managed to pull a bw35 gearbox apart in scrap yard and now have a few spare parts not that much inside cannot see how they can charge so much for a simple gearbox all you need to do is be clean and carefull i do know that a few special tools are req but i will not need them i reckon all the manual valve gear works a treat and everything moves as it should my net step is to put back together refill and try if this still wont work then it will be time to adjust the rear brake band and try again.
