This is my personal reg, it's my surname and no i'm not an inmatenumber before someone pipes up. I got it free except for the transfer, it was'nt until 4 weeks later that swmbo pointed out that the numbers are the first four of our telephone number. Spooky!:shock:.

You can't see it when your driving your car, and no-one else cares!

I'm only saying that because I can't afford to blow ££££s on a cool reg.

"FR" and "FV" are Blackpool (Lancs) registrations. When I owned a Spitfire Mk3 in the 70's it an an "FR" registration. When I changed it for a Mk4 (both cars bought in Blackpool) that had an "FV" registration. Maybe your Stag came from Blackpool.

Are you sure that number shouldn't be on your PC indicating the type of Random Access Memory you have. Thought the Stag was your "everyday" transport saying as you are always extolling it's virtues - if not what is your other car that is so good that you drive it everyday!?

The Stag is never out in the rain or winter mate, it is purely a high day and holiday car. I just have a Corsa for my 100 mile round trip daily commute to uni - just something cheap n cheerful thats not too heave on the gas for my daily travels.

Couple of years ago there were a couple of 1600E Cortinas for sale on e-bay as a pair one had the reg STA 676G or H cant quite remember, my Stags a 76 so STAG 76 G would have been possible with a bit of spacing etc, the pair went for £1200, saw the better one of the two with the nice reg for sale a year or so later for £5000, kick myself for not buying them now.

I was playing on one of those licence auction sites the other day and came up with AJ 55 TAG (AJ's Stag), but slight problem with the year of registration!

My Dad's Triumph 2500 is dead and buried but we still have the chassis plate and docs, would be interested to know if it's at all possible to 'revive' the car temporarily to exchange the plate, or has it gone forever?

P1 KEY is on a Bentley Continental in London.

MY stag has SMV 69 I transfered this of my 1947 Rover 10 beforeI sold it which was my fathers first car.

Everyday car PA03 ACE my wife got me this whenI ordered a newcar i have since changed the car and kept the plate but is now on a 2004 car and will be looking to geta new car soon.

My spare stag reg is HUC 725K origanl reg car needs lots of work
