What carpet would my car of had originally?

72 MK1 White, Saddle Tan interior.

This was when i bought the car, pre shampoo. You got the shag pile and another sort, does this look like the orig type and colour? Not sure if it is really.

Russell, as your car is a Mk1, then if the carpet is wool (not tufted) its prob the original carpet. Unusual colour!

Thanks Chris, it is a wooly texture yes. not like normal car carpets at all. Just wasnt sure on the colour really if it was orig, but i guess it is, strange the things you wonder!
