National Day

Hello Fellow Staggers,

Really enjoyed National day,and was wondering if there were any figures out yet(official or otherwise)as to how many Stags attentended on the day?.

I don't know the numbers, but I would say quite low compared to previous years. Don't know why, maybe the long range weather forecast put people off, of course the weather turned out to be superb.

Stags were split all over the race course

Camping, Concours, Forum, Club Area stands, etc

so it might have looked low in numbers as the stags were not all collectively together

Hi All

There was definitely more Stags parked in the forum area this year

I think you might be right Roger as they were all over the place just like the show spread to 4 different areas due to the layout of the racecourse.

It was like a treasure hunt finding more Stags round every corner! I only found the area displays by accident.

How many were at the Safari Park last year? I seem to remember a figure higher than this one?

we were sitting behind the car in forum parking which was close to the gate and saw a lot of cars leave before we started handing out next years info packs.

from memory and a guess i would say 50 cars left before we started handing them out

Just a thought but maybe because the largest ownership of cars is in the South East of England and the National Day keeps getting held in the midlands or the North of England, will be interesting to see if the numbers increase next year when the national Day is near the south Coast.

Apologies to all who missed out on the info pack, we got them out as quick as possible from about 2.30ish as we thought most people would be in by then. Will post particulars on the forum later after this years N.D. has died down as we don't want to steal their thunder.

That's it Ian, we only left early because we faced a 4-6 hour drive and work the next day etc.

As it was my first ND, I tried to count how many - but they were split up - some in Local Area parking, some in Forum, most trade stands had one each, the concours etc, some "for sale" and even still some in the campsite
I reckon it was close to 200 stags all in. (SUNDAY)
