    The recession hits home

I have felt much sympathy for those losing their jobs of late, particularly those i can relate to on the forum with the unwilling sales of their beloved Stag's. Everyone within the company was asked to consider a 10% wage cut, to which i agreed. Not long after this, i received the dreaded blackspot last Friday morning, telling me my job was at risk.

Tomorrow is judgement day. Though i have plans for the future, i hope not to say goodbye to the Stag in the transition

I hope every thing goes well . I am very lucky I have one of the few jobs that is safe in these troubled times, not to say that I don't appreciate what you are going through and others in the same position , I lost a very good job in the last recession and a business but I think that although my present job is not the best paid it is probably one of the safest

Good luck to you, but dont jump to selling the car too soon. Things are beginning to pick up and you never know whats round the corner. Having spent 3 months on job seekers allowance and coming close to putting the Stag up for sale, a job came up out of the blue and I have now been back in work for four weeks. Wish you luck and hope things turn out okay.
